Cardano's ADA Listed on Sony-Affiliated Exchange in Japan
Cardano (ADA) has made significant strides in Japan as its native cryptocurrency and Midnight's token, NIGHT, have been listed on S.BLOX, a cryptocurrency exchange affiliated with Sony Group. The listing marks a milestone for both ADA and NIGHT, which are now available to trade on the platform.
S.BLOX announced the listing of ADA starting August 24, allowing users to purchase and sell the token. To celebrate this occasion, S.BLOX is running a campaign where users can receive up to 10,000 yen worth of ADA. The exchange has also listed NIGHT, marking its first entry into Japan.
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson hailed the recent listing, particularly for NIGHT, which he said was a significant milestone due to the rigorous process that normally takes place before a token is listed on an exchange in Japan. He noted that no privacy coins or infrastructure trading as coins were previously listed on S.BLOX until Midnight.
The listing of NIGHT remains notable since it marks the first time a privacy-focused token has been traded on the platform. The token was launched in December 2025, and its sidechain, Midnight, went live in March 2026.
