Bitcoin Surge to $80K Triggers Bull Market Debate Among AI Chatbots
The recent surge in Bitcoin's price has left many wondering if it marks the end of the bear market and the beginning of a new bull phase. In just 48-72 hours, BTC's price surged by 25% to almost $80,000 on Friday, its highest price tag since May.
To gain more insight into this sudden change, three popular AI chatbots, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok, were consulted. OpenAI's platform was the most bullish of the three, suggesting that the bear market probably ended at the July low when BTC dipped below $58,000 for the first time since late 2024.
However, it warned that there is no official confirmation yet and added that it would put a 70% probability that $57,800 was the cycle bottom and a 30% chance that BTC's surge to $80,000 was an 'exceptionally violent bear-market rally.'
Gemini and Grok agreed with ChatGPT to some extent. The former noted that declaring the absolute end of a bear market requires macroeconomic confirmation but suggested that structural data from late 2026 strongly suggests we are at a major pivot point.
All three AIs warned that there are no guarantees that bitcoin won't follow the same fate and slump again. As such, ChatGPT noted that the real test for the cryptocurrency is not here yet.
