Bitcoin Surges Above $81,000 on Strong ETF Inflows
Bitcoin's price surged above $81,000 for the first time in two weeks after US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded significant inflows.
The ETFs attracted a total of $593 million over Thursday and Friday, fully reversing earlier outflows and contributing to the cryptocurrency's rebound.
This comes as investors weigh shifting crypto sentiment against persistent macroeconomic headwinds, including high crude oil prices and elevated US Treasury yields.
While Bitcoin's momentum has been strong, traders remain cautious, with BTSE's chief operating officer Jeff Mei saying there are no 'big catalysts' to watch out for this week, but hawkish or dovish remarks by Fed officials could impact the market.
