Bitcoin Surges Above $84,000 on Regulatory Boost
The price of Bitcoin has climbed above $84,000 on Monday as sentiment in the crypto market improves following a US regulatory move.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission granted a temporary five-year exemption allowing qualifying venues to trade tokenized U.S. stocks on blockchain-based platforms, subject to conditions.
This decision has strengthened expectations that traditional financial assets could become more closely integrated with blockchain markets, lifting crypto-related equities and several major digital tokens.
As a result of this regulatory move, some major players in the industry have seen significant gains. Coinbase rose 12%, Strategy gained 16%, and Robinhood advanced 9% on Friday.
