Bitcoin Surges as Trump Calls Off Iran Strikes
The US-Iran war tensions had taken a toll on Bitcoin's price, but it has rebounded significantly after President Trump announced that he would cancel planned strikes and work towards a new deal with Iran.
In his social media post, Trump stated that he agreed to pause the attacks in order to facilitate a 'deal' that would include the immediate opening of the Hormuz Strait and an end to Iran's nuclear threat. He also mentioned that Israel is committed to this effort.
The news has sparked a notable rebound in Bitcoin's price, with it rising by approximately $1,500 to around $63,500. This is a welcome change from yesterday evening when the cryptocurrency had dipped to an 18-day low of $62,200.
