South Korean Stablecoin Outflows Hit 18 Consecutive Months
The South Korean stablecoin outflow has continued for 18 consecutive months, with a net total of 560.3 billion won ($367 million) leaving the country in June 2026.
This figure is based on data from the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS), which shows that the five major won-based crypto exchanges - Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit, and Gopax - sent a total of 2.7625 trillion won in stablecoins abroad during June.
The transferred stablecoins are believed to be used mainly for products unavailable on domestic exchanges, including overseas derivatives, RWA products, decentralized finance services, and staking products.
