Bitcoin Surges Past $70,000, Circle Internet Group Inc. Stock Soars 9%
Circle Internet Group Inc., the parent company of USDC stablecoin issuer Circle, saw its stock jump by 4.82% on Monday after Bitcoin surged above $70,000 and then $71,000.
The move in Bitcoin was partly driven by a favorable policy signal from a meeting between former President Trump and crypto executives, which helped boost the cryptocurrency's price.
As a result of the Bitcoin breakout, Circle Internet Group Inc.'s stock reacted strongly, rising more than 9% alongside other crypto-related names in premarket trading.
The company's shares have been trending upwards since August, with the stock climbing from around $65 to over $91 in recent weeks, indicating strong momentum and demand behind the move.
