Bitcoin Surges Past $77,000 Amid US Economic Developments
The price of Bitcoin has exceeded $77,000 for the first time since May, driven by macroeconomic developments in the US and easing in the bond market.
According to data provider Coinmarketcap, the global cryptocurrency market, including Bitcoin, saw a nearly 6.6% increase in value over the past 24 hours, reaching $2.6 trillion.
The price of Ethereum rose by almost 4.4%, reaching $2,390, while Bitcoin's largest competitor gained more than 7% to reach $77,700 as of 0930GMT.
