Bitcoin Surges Past $77K as Ethereum, Ripple ETFs Experience Outflows
Crypto markets have seen a shift in investor sentiment this week, with Bitcoin climbing above $77,000 and major cryptocurrencies extending their recovery.
However, Ether and XRP ETFs saw fresh outflows on Thursday, despite the broader market rally. Spot Ether ETFs lost about $39 million, marking their third consecutive session of withdrawals, while XRP funds recorded roughly $5 million in net outflows.
Bitcoin ETFs, on the other hand, attracted $159 million in net inflows, suggesting institutional demand is increasing as market conditions stabilize. This follows a sharp reversal earlier in the week, when U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs lost $450.4 million on September 15, their largest daily outflow since June.
Zcash was the major exception in the ETF data, with its single U.S. fund attracting nearly $47 million, its strongest showing in a month that has brought more than $230 million in total inflows. The divergent flows suggest capital is becoming more selective across assets.
