Bitcoin Surges Past $77K as Golden Cross Forms
Bitcoin edged up by 1.8% to $77,813 on Binance after the Federal Reserve's first rate hike since July 2023 did not push it below its $75,000 floor.
The price increase comes with a technical shift in Bitcoin's trend: the 50-day exponential moving average (EMA) has moved above the 200-day line for the first time since November 2025.
This is known as a golden cross, which turns the trend on the daily chart officially bullish. However, the price still needs to clear the $82,614 ceiling of the consolidation before reaching the predicted target of $100,000.
The upper boundary of the consolidation is at $82,614.16, and every rally since late August has stalled below it, with the highest print at $82,300 on September 3.
