Bitcoin surged to nearly $80,000 on Friday for the first time in over three months before correcting slightly to around $77,500. The recovery was swift, with Bitcoin rebounding from a weekend low of $75,500 to regain its earlier momentum.

The broader cryptocurrency market also participated in the rally, with total capitalization rising by around $30 billion to reach nearly $2.7 trillion. Altcoins such as Zcash (ZEC) and Ethereum (ETH) made significant gains, with ZEC reaching nearly $900 and ETH moving above $2,450.

However, not all assets benefited from the rally, with ENA, PUMP, and XMR declining. Despite this, Bitcoin's market capitalization remains near $1.555 trillion, while its dominance over altcoins has slipped slightly to below 58%.

The move is a testament to the resilience of the cryptocurrency market, which has shown an ability to recover from significant corrections. However, it also serves as a reminder that gains can unwind quickly when traders begin taking profits or building bearish positions.
