Bitcoin Surges Past $80K as ETF Inflows and Treasury Support Boost Prices
Bitcoin has broken through the $80,000 mark for the first time since May, fueled by significant inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs and support from U.S. Treasury buyback programs.
The price surge represents a 38% increase from lows near $58,000 in late June and early July.
According to Pluang, the $1.9 billion in weekly inflows into these ETFs is the highest since October 2025, while U.S. Treasury buyback programs have lowered yields, boosting risk assets.
As a result of this rally, over $220 million in short positions were liquidated as Bitcoin crossed $80K, and technical indicators suggest that the bear market may have ended.
