Bitcoin Surges Past $81,000 as NEAR Soars 23% on Swap Service Growth
Bitcoin has crossed the $81,000 threshold, up less than 1% over the past 24 hours. This price movement comes on the heels of the US Securities and Exchange Commission's clearance for on-chain trading of tokenized US stocks last Thursday.
The standout performer among major tokens is NEAR, which has surged by roughly 23% to just above $4. This increase can be attributed to the growing popularity of NEAR Intents, a swap service built on the NEAR blockchain that enables wallet users to trade one token for another across different chains without requiring fund transfers.
NEAR's success is largely driven by its integration with major consumer wallets such as ZODL and Vizor, which have implemented $ZEC swaps using the NEAR platform. As a result, daily ZEC volume routed through NEAR has seen a significant sixfold increase in just one week.
Other notable price movements include ZEC gaining 3% to just above $1,500, BNB increasing by 2% to nearly $777, and Ether and HYPE each picking up about 2%. In contrast, XRP, DOGE, SOL, and TRX rose by 1% or less.
