Bitcoin Surges Past $82k Amid Market Rally
Bitcoin has surpassed $82,000 for the first time since May 11, as it continues to surge upward. This increase comes on the heels of a significant short liquidation event, with over $510 million in shorts being closed out within 24 hours.
Ethereum and XRP have also seen notable gains, climbing 4.2% and 5.7%, respectively. The BNB has risen by 4.3%. These increases are part of a broader market surge that has added over $1.45 trillion across global markets today.
The rally is attributed to several factors, including the US Treasury's plan to double long-end bond buybacks, which will boost market liquidity. Additionally, a wave of short liquidations and continued institutional accumulation have driven up prices.
