Bitcoin Surges Past $84K on Aggressive Buying Pressure
Bitcoin's price broke above $84,000, and it's currently trading near $85,000. This move is attributed to a significant increase in buying pressure, which has triggered a broader market rally.
The sharp rise in net taker volume on Binance from approximately $11 million to $618 million within an hour highlights aggressive buying activity. Net taker volume tracks the balance between market-buying and market-selling pressure, suggesting that traders are executing buy orders against available liquidity rather than waiting for lower entry levels.
The move coincided with significant short liquidations across the crypto market. As bearish positions were forcibly closed, exchanges bought back assets to settle those positions, potentially accelerating the upside move.
However, it's essential to note that liquidation-driven momentum does not automatically confirm sustained spot accumulation. Bitcoin needs continued demand after the initial short squeeze to establish a more durable recovery.
