Bitcoin Surges Past Traditional Markets Ahead of Q4
Bitcoin entered Q4 on a strong note, outperforming traditional markets in September. According to Santiment, the largest crypto asset gained around 8% during the month, while the S&P 500 saw little movement and gold fell by more than 6%. Several altcoins also recovered as investor interest returned to the market.
The rally was supported by fresh capital inflows into US-listed spot BTC exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which attracted billions of dollars in September. Strategy added another 1,665 BTC to its holdings, and Strive purchased 1,107 for $94.5 million. These corporate accumulations indicate continued support for Bitcoin.
Improving economic conditions also contributed to the market's strength. US inflation data for August came in below expectations, easing pressure on Treasury yields and reducing concerns about another Federal Reserve rate hike. This led to stronger gains in cryptocurrencies, which recorded better performance than traditional assets.
