Bitcoin Surges Past Year-Long Downtrend as Large Investors Flood in
The Bitcoin price has surged to $76,945 after a three-day rally that broke its year-long downtrend. This move is attributed to large investors' inflows into Bitcoin ETFs, which reached $606.29 million on Thursday, the highest since May. The surge also saw Strategy's treasury value climb above $64.6 billion, bringing the company back to profit.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced an increase in long-term Treasury bond buybacks to at least $4 billion per operation, injecting liquidity into the debt market and weakening the dollar. This move forced large investors to redirect their funds into Bitcoin and the technology sector.
Korean retail traders also played a significant role in XRP's 18.03% surge to $1.37, with trading volumes on Upbit increasing by 250%. The price of XRP has moved against its 'Black Friday' ceiling at $1.3702, which was recorded on October 10, 2025.
