Tech Leaders Rally Behind Trump's Crypto Push Amid Regulatory Clarity Efforts
Executives from major US technology and cryptocurrency companies attended a White House meeting with President Donald Trump to discuss regulatory clarity for digital assets. The meeting marked the first gathering of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's Innovation Advisory Committee, which aims to establish a federal regulatory framework for digital assets.
Coinbase co-founder Brian Armstrong praised Trump's commitment to making America the crypto capital of the world. He cited the creation of a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and the appointment of pro-innovation regulators as key steps towards achieving this goal. Armstrong noted that passage of the CLARITY Act, which would provide durable regulatory clarity for digital assets, is expected in Congress on September 15.
Intercontinental Exchange founder Jeffrey Sprecher credited Trump's trade policies with contributing to record market activity. Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev called for wider access to investments through tokenisation, while Kraken co-CEO Arjun Sethi recalled Trump's encouragement to act quickly in response to regulatory changes.
