Bitcoin Surges to $85K as Bulls Gain Upper Hand
Bitcoin has surged to $85,150, marking a 4.93% increase on the day and its highest weekly close in four months.
The cryptocurrency reclaimed its 50-week moving average for the first time since November 2025 and triggered a bullish signal from the daily MACD indicator, which confirmed the momentum shift traders had been tracking after a brief pullback formed a higher low last week.
Despite expectations that the CLARITY Act's failure in the Senate and the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike would drag prices lower, Bitcoin has instead seen a rally.
The crypto market's leverage has also climbed to its highest level since October 10, while stablecoin dominance is showing a bearish divergence, which some interpret as liquidity rotating back into crypto.
