Bitcoin Surpasses $64,000 as Markets Eye U.S.-Iran Truce Expiration
Bitcoin surpassed $64,000 on Monday as markets closely watched the expiration of the 60-day U.S.-Iran truce. Coinglass data shows that over 61,780 traders were liquidated in the past 24 hours for a total of $196.26 million.
Despite this volatility, Ethereum rose by 1% and is trading at $1,907.49. Meanwhile, XRP and Dogecoin remain relatively steady at $1.00 and $0.07033 respectively.
Analyst Trader Dom warned that Bitcoin's realized volatility fell to its lowest level in 12 months on Sunday, indicating that a breakout above $67,000 range resistance could lead to a bullish shift.
CryptosBatman noted that Bitcoin is reclaiming the 200 EMA near $64,000 but added caution with an overbought Stoch RSI signal. Altcoin Sherpa expects BTC to eventually fall below $60,000, although the timing remains uncertain.
