Bitcoin Surpasses Tech Giants in Value, Eyes Top 10 Spot
Bitcoin (BTC) has seen a significant rally in recent times, pushing it up the global asset market capitalization list. The cryptocurrency has now surpassed Meta Platforms and Tesla in value, with a market capitalization of $1.58 trillion. This puts Bitcoin ahead of both companies, which have market capitals of $1.47 trillion and $1.37 trillion respectively.
The recent surge to the $80,000 mark is the highest level seen since May 2026, causing a shift in the rankings. Companies Market Cap, which ranks public companies, precious metals, and cryptocurrencies, currently has Bitcoin at number 12. To break into the top 10, however, Bitcoin will need to continue rising.
The current top 10 list is dominated by technology-related companies, with gold and silver making up two of the top spots. The rest of the list consists of publicly traded tech companies such as Alphabet and Microsoft. Broadcom and Saudi Aramco are currently in first and second place respectively, with market capitals of $1.69 trillion and $1.68 trillion.
