Bitcoin Swings Amid US Treasury Yield Surge as ONDO Gains Momentum
Bitcoin's price fluctuated during US hours due to interest-rate-driven swings, as the yield on the US 10-year Treasury note reached its highest level in nearly two decades. The yield rose to 5.18%, a peak not seen since July 2007, while the 30-year yield hit 5.46%. This development put pressure on non-yielding assets like Bitcoin, which briefly dipped below $83,000 before stabilizing around $84,500.
Meanwhile, ONDO's token saw significant gains, reclaiming the $0.50 area for the first time since December 2025. The rally was attributed to the launch of BlackRock-backed Ondo Intelligent Portfolios on both Ethereum and BNB Chain, which supports non-US users with portfolio settlement via CoW Protocol and CoW DAO.
The launch of Ondo Intelligent Portfolios marked a significant milestone for the tokenized real-world assets sector. The new offering allows non-US users to purchase tokenized shares in diversified portfolios, a departure from individual stock or commodity tokenization. This development could have implications for investors watching the RWA sector's maturation.
