Bitcoin Third-Quarter Return Surpasses 9-Year High
Bitcoin's third-quarter performance has been its strongest in nine years, according to data from CoinGlass. The cryptocurrency posted a 42.71% return during this period, with August accounting for most of the gain at 24.95%. This surpasses the 6.31% recorded in the same quarter last year.
Ethereum also had a remarkable quarter, with a 70.8% price gain. It rose 18.5% in July, 32.53% in August, and 8.77% in September. As of October 1, Bitcoin was trading around $84,000, while Ethereum was at approximately $2,700.
The strong performance of these two cryptocurrencies has been a notable trend this year. However, it is essential to remember that past gains do not guarantee future success, and market fluctuations are unpredictable.
