Bitcoin to Reach $2.5 Trillion Market Cap in Three Years
A prediction by an analyst suggests that Bitcoin will regain its all-time high of $126,000 within three years. This would result in a total market cap of $2.5 trillion.
According to the analyst, a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 25% is a realistic expectation for Bitcoin's growth. This growth rate is in line with that of top tech stocks like Tesla, which has a market cap of $1 trillion.
The prediction assumes that Bitcoin will grow from its current price of around $65,000 to $126,000 in three years, resulting in a total market cap of $2.5 trillion. However, the analyst notes that this growth rate does not mean that Bitcoin will churn out 25% gains each year.
The influx of money from institutional investors has contributed to Bitcoin's maturity phase, making it less explosive and more volatile. As a result, investors may need to settle for lower returns in the short term.
