Bitcoin Traders Eye $91,000 in October and $130,000 by 2027
Bitcoin is off to a strong start in October, continuing its upward momentum after a solid performance in September. On October 6, 2025, Bitcoin hit a new all-time high above $126,000, but by the following year, its price had dropped to around $86,000, a 32% decrease from its peak.
Kalshi traders are now more optimistic about Bitcoin's near-term price forecast. They predict a potential rise to $91,000 during October, with a 63% chance of exceeding $90,000 as of Tuesday morning. Traders are also increasing the odds for Bitcoin to surpass $130,000 by July 8, 2027, with a 31% probability, up from 23% since the market opened.
A quicker surge to $130,000 by January 21, 2027, is priced at 10%, as traders consider the possibility of a significant fourth-quarter boost for Bitcoin. These predictions outpace recent forecasts from financial institutions like Citigroup, which raised its 12-month Bitcoin forecast by nearly 38%, from $82,000 to $113,000, still below the $130,000 marker.
Despite spending most of the year in a drawdown, Bitcoin is close to turning positive for 2026, now down just 1.43% year-to-date. With an uptick in ETF inflows and other bullish technical signals, traders are optimistic about a potential Bitcoin rally as the year concludes. Only two other crypto assets, Stellar Lumens (XLM) and Chainlink (LINK), have at least a 50% chance to finish the year positively according to Kalshi traders.
