Bitcoin Traders Hunker Down Ahead of Fed Decision
Bitcoin has been trading in a tight range near $77,000 as investors wait for guidance from central banks. Analysts say that breaking above or below $83,000 and $76,000 respectively would be needed to confirm the next direction of Bitcoin.
Nicolai Søndergaard, senior research analyst at Nansen, said traders have adopted a cautious position before the Federal Reserve's decision on September 16. He believes investors are waiting for central bank guidance instead of withdrawing completely from the market.
Bitfinex analysts also expect a trading range to remain in place until the Fed meeting provides clearer direction. They predict that Bitcoin will test liquidity near $82,000 and $76,000 rather than moving cleanly in one direction.
