Bitcoin Traders Show Caution in Slight Short Bias Across Major Markets
Bitcoin perpetual futures traders are showing a cautious stance, according to recent data from Binance, OKX, and Bybit.
The aggregate long/short ratio for BTC perpetual contracts stands at 51.23% long versus 48.77% short over the past 24 hours, indicating a slight short bias across major markets.
On Binance, the world's largest crypto exchange, long positions account for 48.36% of open interest, while shorts make up 51.64%. OKX shows a similar pattern with 48.87% long and 51.13% short. Bybit has the most pronounced short tilt: 47.75% long versus 52.25% short.
A reading below 50% long indicates more open interest is held in short positions, which can signal bearish sentiment or hedging activity. However, the deviations from 50% are relatively narrow, suggesting that the market is not overwhelmingly directional at this moment.
