US authorities have arrested two brothers from Jacksonville after tracing cryptocurrency payments linked to an alleged darknet drug operation. The investigation, led by blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis, identified a vendor known as 'BarbaraWhite' who allegedly sold hundreds of thousands of nitazene pills through darknet markets.

Nitazenes are opioids that can be more dangerous than fentanyl. Blockchain records showed BarbaraWhite operated on Nemesis, Bohemia, and Abacus darknet markets, with authorities tracing Bitcoin transactions linking market proceeds to the operation's suppliers.

Investigations also revealed payments to postage services connected to a mobile payment account belonging to Stanislav Chernyshov. The Justice Department announced the arrests on August 28, charging both brothers with conspiracy.
