Bitcoin treasury accumulation surpasses 3,342 BTC in a week
Bitcoin treasury accumulation continued its upward trend last week, with four companies adding a combined 3,342 BTC worth nearly $286.31 million between September 28 and October 4. The most notable purchases came from Strive Asset Management, which added 2,000 BTC, bringing its reserves to 29,462 BTC. Metaplanet also made a significant move, adding 1,000 BTC to reach a total of 44,000 BTC. Meanwhile, Michael Saylor’s Strategy added 334 BTC, increasing its holdings to 848,000 BTC, and Remixpoint added 8 BTC to reach 1,509 BTC. Together, these tracked public treasuries now hold 922,971 BTC, valued at $79.07 billion.
While corporate Bitcoin reserves grew, stablecoin liquidity showed a different pattern. The global net stablecoin supply expanded by $715.8 million, but Ethereum recorded $974 million in net outflows. Other chains like Solana, Tron, Base, Arc, and Arbitrum saw inflows, indicating a rotation of stablecoin capital across different networks. This movement suggests a shift in liquidity rather than a broad-based risk appetite.
Decentralized exchange (DEX) spot volumes also declined, falling 3.92% week over week to $59.24 billion. Perpetual volume dropped 9.85% to $138.12 billion. Despite a 24.31% decline, Hyperliquid remained the largest decentralized perpetual venue with $41.53 billion in volume. GMX stood out with a 243.76% surge to $8.22 billion, bucking the overall downward trend.
Despite these shifts in liquidity and trading activity, Bitcoin treasury accumulation remains strong, highlighting ongoing corporate interest in the asset.
