Bitcoin Treasury Capital B Seeks €21 Million for Aggressive Expansion Plans
Capital B, ranked as the 27th largest Bitcoin digital asset treasury (DAT), has announced plans to raise €21 million in funding from institutional investors. The fresh capital will be used to purchase more Bitcoin, with the company estimating that it could acquire approximately 270 additional BTC.
This would bring its total Bitcoin holdings to around 3,415 BTC. Capital B currently holds 3,145 BTC in its vault, valued at $244.3 million. Since November 5th, 2024, the firm has made 31 purchases of Bitcoin.
Strategic investors such as Adam Back and TOBAM have participated in this funding round, with their shareholdings increasing accordingly. Adam Back's direct shareholding will rise from 39.65 million shares to 54.30 million shares, while TOBAM's holdings will increase from about 9.49 million to 12.08 million shares.
Capital B's stock price has dropped by 8.06% in the past trading day, trading at €0.57. The price of Bitcoin itself has fallen by 1.9% in the past 24 hours but risen over 19% in the past month to $77,671.76.
