Bitcoin Tumbles Below $64K Amid Rising Oil Prices
Bitcoin's price slipped below $64,000 yesterday, but the move may be more about traders repositioning than showing fresh conviction. Over the past 24 hours, Bitcoin fell by 2.77%, trading near $63,257.38 overall.
The open interest remains elevated and trading volume has picked up, a combination that suggests active repositioning rather than a new trend. If spot demand starts backing the move and open interest keeps expanding, this weakness could turn into a more convincing breakdown.
However, if it doesn't, this may prove to be a short-term reaction rather than the start of a larger move lower. The important level to watch is the 200-week moving average, sitting near $63,300. If Bitcoin holds above it, a rebound toward $65,000 resistance becomes possible.
On the other hand, a break below $62,500 opens the door to a drop toward $60,000.
