Bitcoin Tumbles Below $77K Amid Geopolitical Tensions and Inflation Fears
Bitcoin (BTC) prices plummeted below $77,000 on Sunday night as renewed geopolitical tensions and mounting inflation fears fueled broad market risk aversion.
The BTC price dropped 1.2% in the 24 hours to $76,593, after briefly touching a low of around $76,720 earlier in the day.
Andri Fauzan Adziima, research lead at Bitrue Research Institute, pointed to surging Treasury yields at 12-month highs, a stronger dollar, and escalating geopolitical tensions as key drivers of the move.
The current dip is described by Adziima as 'healthy digestion' within a broader uptrend, with $74,000 identified as the key downside support level.
