Bitcoin Tumbles Below $84K Amid Interest-Rate Hike Fears
Bitcoin's price slipped below $84,000 as concerns over interest-rate hikes continued to weigh on the broader crypto market. The decline was led by Bitcoin, with top gainers in the past 24 hours including Quant, Ethena, and Aerodrome Finance.
CoinGlass data shows that 79,553 traders were liquidated in the past 24 hours for $278.63 million. Meanwhile, spot Bitcoin ETFs saw net inflows of $190.7 million on Thursday, while spot Ethereum ETFs saw net inflows of $66.01 million.
Rising spot volume near $83,200 suggests that buyers are defending this level, making it a key support point for Bitcoin in the short term. If Bitcoin holds onto the $83,000 to $77,000 support zone while short-term indicators reset, some traders expect a move towards $93,500 to $100,000.
However, others warn that continued consolidation below the $85,000 level on Binance could signal a pre-dump setup and another potential flush. As the market remains cautious, investors are keeping a close eye on interest-rate hike fears and their impact on crypto prices.
