Bitcoin 'Turns' in Favor of Bitcoin Against Gold, Says Cathie Wood
Cathie Wood, CEO of ARK Invest, believes the 'turn is in' for Bitcoin against gold. In a recent episode of In the Know, she stated that the Bitcoin-to-gold ratio has 'turned' in favor of Bitcoin, with the apex cryptocurrency outperforming gold since mid-August.
Bitcoin has gained over 33% since August 16, while gold has declined by over 4%. The two assets have been moving in opposite directions, with Bitcoin's price currently trading above $85,200.
Wood pointed out that the correlation between Bitcoin and gold has turned negative, indicating that they are no longer moving in lockstep. She attributed this change to the fact that Bitcoin is a digital store of value, whereas gold is a physical asset.
Citi recently raised its 12-month Bitcoin target to $113,000, which is still below Bitcoin's record high of over $126,000 in October 2025. Wood's comments come as Wall Street takes a more bullish view of Bitcoin, with some analysts expecting further gains in the coming months.
