Bitcoin Under Pressure as Fed Decision Looms
The cryptocurrency market has been under pressure in recent days due to uncertainty surrounding the Federal Reserve's decision on interest rates. Bitcoin, in particular, has lost over 3% of its value over the past three trading sessions, indicating a short-term bearish bias.
Market analysts believe that if expectations for higher interest rates persist, selling pressure could continue to gain traction around BTC. This is because a higher-rate environment can reduce the appeal of risk-oriented investments and increase the attractiveness of the U.S. dollar, which has already been showing consistent strength in the short term.
A stronger dollar can divert capital flows away from Bitcoin, making it harder for the cryptocurrency to maintain its value. In fact, demand activity around BTC appears to be slowing down, with open interest reaching approximately $25.5 billion and the price of Bitcoin declining.
Despite this, some analysts believe that buying interest may stabilize in the coming sessions, which could lead to a more bearish bias. However, if selling pressure continues, it may undermine the recovery seen in recent weeks and put the formation of a potential uptrend at risk.
