Bitcoin Unrealized Profit Margin Hits Two-Year High, Sparks Correction Concerns
Bitcoin's recent price surge has led to a significant increase in investors' unrealized profit margins, reaching a two-year high. According to Julio Moreno, head of research at CryptoQuant, the profit margin rose to 33% on September 26, exceeding levels seen since December 2024.
This indicates that many Bitcoin holders are sitting on paper gains, making them more inclined to lock in returns and take profits. As a result, profit-taking has surged to its highest level this year, with realized profits reaching 25,700 BTC.
Moreno's analysis suggests that this increase in profit-taking may signal a weakening of the rally momentum and potentially lead to a correction in Bitcoin prices.
