A mysterious Bitcoin wallet from 2011 has made a massive move, transferring 100 BTC worth over $8 million to a new address. The wallet was created on November 2, 2011, and its owner's initial investment of $324 has grown by an astonishing 2,469,035%.
The transfer occurred at block height 967732, when Bitcoin's price had reached nearly $82,000. This is not an isolated incident - two other wallets from the same era have also moved funds recently, with one wallet transferring 200 BTC worth over $16 million combined.
Another wallet from 2013 has been linked to Bitgo, a custodian service, and it's possible that these funds are being held for sale. However, it's also possible that the owners are simply taking advantage of the current market conditions and transferring their funds to a newer address.
