Concerns are rising within the Bitcoin community about the potential for artificial intelligence (AI) to compromise wallet security. CobraBitcoin has announced that it is closely monitoring large-scale exploits as AI models become stronger, capable of analyzing public code to identify vulnerabilities.

The OpenAI GPT-6 Astra model, which meets 'Critical' cybersecurity standards, can discover unknown security flaws and develop attack methods under the right conditions. This has prompted the Bitcoin development community to address both the use of AI tools and the need for vigilance in compliance with policies.

A recent scan by the Bitcoin red team using AI on 501 open-source projects uncovered 7,958 findings, including 1,280 classified as high or critical. Incidents related to Coldcard have resulted in at least 1,778 BTC being stolen.
