Bitcoin Whale Accumulation Accelerates as Exchange Reserves Fall
Bitcoin whale accumulation is strengthening as large holders add tens of thousands of BTC to their positions while smaller investors reduce their exposure. The latest signal came from a previously unknown wallet that withdrew $177 million in BTC from Bitstamp and transferred it to an unidentified address.
The transaction adds to a broader trend where larger wallets are accumulating more BTC, while smaller ones are selling theirs off. According to CryptoQuant data, the top 10 holders control around 5.88% of supply, and their share has remained broadly steady in recent weeks.
Bitcoin exchange reserves have fallen to multi-year lows, with a total of around 2.72 million BTC available for trading. This could become increasingly relevant if demand returns, as reduced liquidity makes it more challenging for new buying pressure to be absorbed by the market.
