Bitcoin Whale Moves $378M in Coins for Just $1.10 in Network Fees
A Bitcoin whale has stirred up the market by moving $378 million in coins for just $1.10 in network fees, sparking speculation about the owner's intentions.
The wallet in question held 4,500 BTC since August 2019 and had not sent a coin since April 2022, until it made a massive transfer early on Friday.
The coins were valued at around $53 million when they first landed in the wallet in 2019 but have appreciated to over seven times that value, reaching a peak of around $561 million in October 2025. However, the owner never touched the coins during their peak price and instead waited until now to move them.
The transfer has caught traders' attention, particularly with Whale Alert logging two large withdrawals from Coinbase Institutional and Kraken within the same few hours. However, analysts are cautioning that this may not necessarily be a sell signal, as the receiving wallet shows no outgoing transactions at press time.
