Bitcoin Whale Transactions and ETF Inflows Surge Amid 50%-Plus Rally
Bitcoin has seen a significant surge in whale transactions, with 2,722 on-chain transactions worth $1 million or more recorded in a single day. This is near three times the baseline activity per Santiment data.
The price of Bitcoin has rallied by 48.9% from its July 1 low of $57,749 to the current level of $85,982. Despite this rally, there is no distribution signal, with large holders not selling into retail demand and exchange inflows remaining relatively stable.
Additionally, US spot Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated over $1.60 billion worth of BTC over the past 72 hours, averaging approximately $533 million per day in structural buying pressure. This is a deliberate positioning decision by institutional allocators, not a reactive one.
The key level to watch is $80,000, a daily close below that level would challenge the accumulation thesis. A hold above $85,000 with sustained whale counts above 2,000 per day keeps the path toward $92,000, $95,000 structurally open.
