Bitcoin Whale Transfers $46M Worth of BTC Amid Security Concerns

A Bitcoin whale that had been inactive for four years has transferred approximately $46.12 million worth of BTC, according to on-chain analytics platform Onchain Lens.

The transfer consists of 730 BTC, which were moved from a wallet that had not seen any activity in four years to a newly created wallet.

Analysts suggest this move may be linked to the recent security vulnerability in the Coldcard hardware wallet, leading long-term investors to transfer their assets to more secure wallets.

However, experts emphasize that transfers between wallets do not necessarily mean selling and can also be for security or custody strategy purposes.
