A significant Bitcoin transaction has taken place, leaving many questions unanswered. On September 25, 2026, at 02:30:04 UTC, a Bitcoin address sent 4,499.99987779 BTC to a single destination, with an estimated value of $379 million to $382 million based on Coinbase's price range during the confirmation hour.

The source address had not moved since April 21, 2022, but had received seven smaller deposits between December 30, 2024, and September 11, 2026, totaling 2,821 satoshis. The transaction combined eight inputs into one output, with a network fee of 1,303 satoshis.

The receiving address still holds the nearly 4,500 BTC, but its owner remains unknown, and it is unclear whether this was a sale or an exchange of beneficial ownership. A later spend would be observable on Bitcoin's blockchain, but its purpose would require separate evidence.
