Bitcoin Whale Wakes Up with $1 Billion Transfer

A massive Bitcoin whale has ended its seven-month silence, transferring all of its 16,400 BTC holdings to a new address. The move is worth approximately $1.04 billion.

The wallet, which had been dormant since it accumulated the assets seven months ago, transferred the funds in a single transaction. According to on-chain data tracking platform Lookonchain and Arkham Intelligence, the transfer exceeded a total value of $1.04 billion.

Experts remind that such transfers do not always signify preparations for a sale. Large whales sometimes take such steps for security reasons or to change institutional custody methods.
