Quantum Blockchain Technologies (QBT) has announced that its Method C AI Oracle outperformed traditional Bitcoin mining in tests conducted after adapting the software for an ASIC manufacturer's rig.

The company's researchers have completed reconfiguring the Oracle's learning models for the new operating system and architecture, which differs from the Bitaxe Gamma platform where the technology was originally developed.

According to QBT, this required rebuilding the models around the distinct data characteristics of the ASIC rig rather than simply retraining them. The company has presented an initial model to the manufacturer on 28 July with a further update scheduled in the coming weeks as more data is gathered.

The QBT CEO, Francesco Gardin, emphasized that the results must remain robust over longer periods before live testing or a commercially viable product can be produced. The next steps for the company include broader training datasets and model optimization, followed by a live demonstration to the ASIC manufacturer.
