Bitcoin Whales Accumulate 14,335 BTC as Price Holds Key Support
Bitcoin has maintained its position above the $84,600 support level, where significant trading activity has occurred. Over the past two weeks, the cryptocurrency has oscillated between $83,000 and $86,700, with the latter marking a key resistance level. Despite recent fluctuations, Bitcoin remains near $85,376, supported by a substantial volume of 1.59 million BTC traded within the $83,300 to $84,600 range.
Large Bitcoin holders, or whales, have significantly increased their holdings, accumulating over 14,335 BTC since October 1. This accumulation, valued at approximately $1.22 billion, has pushed whale holdings close to 5.25 million BTC. The ongoing buying spree by these large investors indicates strong confidence in Bitcoin's long-term value.
Technical analysis suggests that Bitcoin's immediate support lies between $83,000 and $84,800, with the broader accumulation zone concentrated between $83,300 and $84,600. A break below $84,800 could expose Bitcoin to further declines, while a move above $86,700 would signal a potential upward breakout. The next resistance levels are identified at $92,143, $95,929, and $100,978.
Despite intraday volatility, Bitcoin's price structure has shown repeated recoveries after sharp declines, maintaining higher local lows. The current market price reflects a milder decline compared to previous cycle drawdowns, with the asset down about 32% from its October 2025 record high. The lowest point of the current drawdown was below $59,000 on June 30, representing a 53% drop from the peak.
