Bitcoin Whales Amass 86,702 BTC in Three Weeks
Bitcoin is approaching the $90,000 level, supported by significant accumulation from large investors. According to Santiment, wallets holding between 10 and 10,000 BTC added 86,702 BTC over the past three weeks, the highest level since April 23. The firm notes that changes in these large wallets often correlate with Bitcoin’s price movements.
While major investors, or “whales” and “sharks,” are accumulating, smaller investors with less than 0.01 BTC are taking profits. Santiment explains that this supply-demand dynamic, where well-funded investors absorb selling from retail traders, has historically preceded further price gains. The pattern suggests a positive signal for Bitcoin’s future performance.
Santiment cautions that while the chances of Bitcoin breaking above $90,000 appear more realistic, gains in the digital-asset market are never guaranteed. The firm emphasizes that strong hands continue to add Bitcoin, reinforcing the potential for upward momentum.
