Bitcoin Whales Load Up on BTC Amid Security Concerns
Bitcoin's price is on the cusp of a potential breakout to $65,000 as large wallets, also known as 'whales,' accumulate significant amounts of BTC. According to Santiment, these whales have added 19,610 BTC in just a few days, while smaller holders have reduced their balances by 0.55%.
This trend is attributed to the recent security flaw affecting Coldcard wallets, which has led to widespread concerns among retail investors. As a result, smaller holders are selling their coins at a loss, creating an opportunity for whales to buy up the available supply.
The data from Santiment also shows that wallets holding between 10 and 10,000 BTC have increased their holdings by 0.14% since July 29. This indicates that large players are taking advantage of the current market conditions and accumulating more coins.
