Bitcoin Whales Send $30.5B in Stablecoins to Binance Amid Market Uncertainty
Stablecoin transfers above $1 million to Binance have climbed over 40% in just over a month, pushing the 30-day cumulative total to $30.5 billion, according to data from Darkfost. The Bitcoin price is currently trading around $84,700, up about 1.2% over the past 24 hours. The $30.5 billion figure is a 30-day cumulative inflow metric, not a total of untouched stablecoins held on the exchange.
Darkfost, a contributor to CryptoQuant, described the increase as large investors gradually making more capital available for market exposure. Stablecoins deposited on centralized exchanges can be quickly converted into Bitcoin or other crypto assets without first moving money through traditional banking rails.
The $30.5 billion figure is relatively restrained compared to an earlier peak of $61 billion around October 2025. Darkfost argued that whales are deploying liquidity more carefully while Bitcoin navigates changing market conditions, citing seasonal expectations for October alongside inflation, conflict, and rising bond yields.
