Bitcoin Whales Spark Bullish Momentum with Record Binance Outflows
Bitcoin is experiencing a significant shift in activity on Binance, with outflows reaching a three-year high. Recent data shows that nearly 14,300 BTC were withdrawn from Binance in a single day, marking the largest daily net outflow recorded on the exchange. This surge in withdrawals surpasses the 13,800 BTC withdrawn from Binance in the entire previous week, indicating growing confidence among large Bitcoin holders in the asset's potential price appreciation.
The trend of substantial Bitcoin withdrawals from Binance has been consistent over the past weeks. Last week alone, the exchange recorded a massive 23,100 BTC in net outflows, worth about $1.4 billion. This level of weekly withdrawal has not been seen since June 2023, suggesting a potential bullish momentum for Bitcoin. The steady decline in Binance's Bitcoin reserves, from 704,800 BTC on September 20 to around 663,100 BTC as of October 5, underscores the growing demand from investors.
In total, up to 40,000 BTC, valued at approximately $3.3 billion, have been withdrawn from Binance within about two weeks. This massive outflow is seen as a bullish signal for Bitcoin, as large holders, or 'whales,' continue to accumulate the asset despite its price volatility. The data highlights a shift in market sentiment, with investors increasingly gaining conviction in Bitcoin's potential price as bullish signals begin to emerge.
